Emmanuel Ekeigwe is an immigrant of Nigerian descent. Having arrived in Austria in 2001 the former professional football player immediately decided to go about pursuing his beloved profession and try his luck in Viennese soccer. His initial enthusiasm was soon slowed down by encounters with native soccer players and their provisos towards people of other skin color. After several throwbacks Emanuel Ekeigwe decided to found his own soccer team, solely for African immigrants: the "New African Football Academy". Since 2005 this team is fighting for its place in Austrian society and has managed to become well accepted by most other teams in the Vienna football league. But still life as an African originated soccer player remains tough and various hurdles have to be tackled. Africa11 is an on-sight inspection of NAFA, introducing its three key protagonists: Emmanuel Ekeigwe, president and founder of NAFA, Walter Nekham, Austrian originated trainer and Charles Orisakwe, captain of NAFA. Crux of the film is a license control on the field, which causes great disturbance among NAFA's players…

"The Team" introduces you to the world of young gymnasts, through their daily practice until the National Championships in Deva. "Finché morte non ci separi" è il racconto, attraverso i ricordi dei tifosi, di un legame contagioso che dal 1949 unisce molti torinesi, e non solo. Un legame che ha condotto alcuni intervistati a scelte di vita particolari: chi da anni lavora ad un museo di cimeli granata salvati in parte dai rifiuti, chi da anni combatte per la salvaguardia di un campo di calcio demolito quasi del tutto, chi da anni denuncia, a suo rischio e pericolo, quei poteri ingordi che hanno sperato a lungo che di squadra di calcio a Torino ne rimanesse solo una. Chi da anni semplicemente ha sofferto molto, perchè tifare Toro è un'attività per cuori robusti. Non tutti possono vantare di aver conquistato la A, averla persa, essere morti e risorti in 2 mesi, come "in un brutto trip dell'orrore". Ma il tifoso del Toro "sa perdere im modo divino", e saperlo fare nella città dell'altra squadra, che per la propria ingordigia finisce in B, è un vanto. E richiede una dote oggi più che mai poco diffusa: quella di non stare dalla parte del padrone. Così, di calcio si finisce per parlare ben poco, gli avversari sono sociali, etici, morali. "Ma se un giorno vi raccontassero che 10.000 anni fa una squadra è morta sulla sua città, ci credereste?". No. E non crediamo ancora oggi alle fatalità, ingiustizie ed errori che caratterizzano la storia del Toro. La maratona è sempre stata la passione di Luca Coscioni, un giovane docente universitario colpito dalla Sclerosi Laterale Amiotrofica, una malattia che lo ha portato alla morte in pochi anni. Luca pur essendo immobilizzato dalla malattia, costretto ad essere vestito e imboccato, ha seguitato a vivere e lottare con la tenacia del maratoneta. Grazie al suo computer e ad una tastiera virtuale Luca è riuscito a comunicare i suoi pensieri.
Luca ha corso contro la malattia e contro le leggi italiane che vietano la ricerca sulle cellule staminali, l'unica speranza per la sua patologia e per molte altre. Grazie alla sua determinazione, Luca è diventato il presidente del Partito Radicale Italiano, che lo ha sostenuto nella battaglia a favore della libera ricerca scientifica.
Il documentario racconta il terribile decorso della malattia di Luca, la dolorosa quotidianità, ma anche le piccole vittorie e la sua lotta per la vita, i suoi appelli al Parlamento Europeo, gli incontri con scienziati e Premi Nobel (come José Samarago). Le tematiche scottanti della libertà di ricerca e della clonazione terapeutica impongono a Luca profonde riflessioni sull'etica, la religione, la speranza, il senso della propria vita.

Francesco ha 38 anni, è paraplegico dalla nascita e ha un impiego nel settore amministrativo. Un amico gli segnala il programma di immersioni subacquee per persone diversamente abili, promosso dall'Area Marina Protetta del Plemmirio, presso Siracusa, e Francesco decide di accettare la sfida. Assistito da istruttori appositamente formati, Francesco scopre un universo multicolore, mai visto prima. Così come chiunque altro, può sperimentare il contatto con l'acqua, toccare le rocce sommerse, nuotare con i pesci, osservare la vita marina da vicino. Benedetta ha 19 anni, è cieca dalla nascita e studia Lingue all'Università di Catania. L'amicizia con il suo istruttore di sub Carmelo le ha aperto nuovi orizzonti: oggi Benedetta può vivere pienamente la meraviglia dell'immersione e del contatto con l'ambiente sottomarino. Questo è reso possibile dallo speciale programma di immersioni subacquee per ipovedenti dell'Area Marina Protetta del Plemmirio.

The main characters of the film are: a Himalayan alpinist Piotr Pustelnik -the father - and a rock climbers (Adam and Pawel Pustelnik) - sons. The film's aim is to depict the difference in their attitude to the mountains and on a wider scale - to the life itself. The comparison of those attitudes intends to evoke a wider contemplation of the universal problem - "the conflict of generations". The formal approach based on using two different film styles (classical fly-on-the-wall in case of the father and relaxed video clips in case of the sons) represents the original author's way of telling the story.

La sesta edizione di Rallylegend è stato senza dubbio l'evento più entusiasmante vissuto dal pubblico e dai piloti nel 2008. Non è solo una gara, ma un vero e proprio tuffo nel passato per gli appassionati di rally di tutto il mondo. Concorrenti e spettatori da ogni parte del globo non hanno voluto mancare all'edizione 2008 per poter rivivere le emozioni di correre di notte, sullo sterrato e in mezzo a vere e proprie ali di folla. Le emozioni, l'adrenalina e la passione di questa memorabile due giorni sono condensate nei 30 minuti di questo film, arricchito dai preziosi contributi delle riprese aeree e dei camera -car dei piloti più spettacolari.

 

Piero e Raimondo D'Inzeo raccontano la loro meravigliosa carriera di campioni di equitazione. Come in uno specchio della memoria viviamo i ricordi e le emozioni di un campione dell'atletica mondiale: Salvatore Antibo, la cui voce ci conduce in un viaggio introspettivo tra sport e vita. Partendo dagli anni settanta ed il fatidico incontro con il suo allenatore "papà" Gaspare Polizzi, il racconto di Antibo, la gazzella bianca, analizza lucidamente: sconfitte e vittorie della sua invidiabile carriera come l'incredibile finale dei campionati di spalato del 1990, gara simbolo della sua vita, dove: cade, insegue e vince. Il racconto affronta eventi personali come la convivenza con il piccolo male, il rapporto conflittuale con il suo paese: Altofonte ed un'analisi del panorama dell'atletica italiana di oggi. Confessioni e retroscena si avvicendano in un documento unico, dove Antibo si racconta senza pudori, restituendoci la propria umanità ed approfondendo al di là di ogni retorica, lo sport come valore e riscatto.

Il nostro video documenta una giornata di gara di wakeboard, organizzata dall'associazione sportiva Sikelia wakeboard che si è svolta presso la diga Rosamarina Caccamo il 5 ottobre 2008. Il video è stato prodotto e realizzato al fine di fare conoscere e promuovere questo "nuovo" sport, che in Sicilia ancora non è diffuso ad un vasto pubblico, di giovani e non ,che ama provare forti emozioni stando a contatto della natura ; il clima siciliano ci permette infatti di praticare il nostro sport tutto l'anno. Questo video rappresenta una giornata tipo di sport musica e divertimento ,tra appassionati e atleti amici che non rinunciano mai a una bella giornata carica di emozioni e divertimento. La nostra associazione è affiliata alla F.I.S.N. (federazione italiana sci nautico) ed in oltre il nostro sport è riconosciuto dal CONI.

By referring primarily to Chinese sport movies produced since the foundation of the People's Republic in 1949, it explores why China embarked on a course that would expend such human and material resources on the development of sport. Was it to build national pride and patriotism and to dispel once and for all the hated image of China as "the sick man of East Asia"? Was it to prove the superiority of the socialist system? Was it to show foreigners that Chinese athletes could beat them at their own game? Or was it to strengthen the bodies of the millions of people that would be needed to construct and defend the motherland?Whatever the motivation, the results clearly go beyond the bulging trophy cabinets of late.This topic is particularly relevant in the immediate aftermath of the Beijing Olympics in 2008.The film utilizes footage from about 20 Chinese feature films that depict one sport or another or that center around the life of athletes. intellettiva che hanno partecipato ai Giochi Mondiali Special Olympics di Shanghai ad Ottobre 2007. Gli atleti vi hanno partecipato con lo spirito genuino e semplice con cui si pratica lo sport: cercando di superare i propri limiti, confrontandosi con i compagni e gli avversari in un'esperienza che, nello spirito di sacrificio che sta alla base di ogni passione, accomuna uomini e donne di tutto il mondo: abili o "meno abili" che siano. Attraverso gli allenamenti, l' esperienza del viaggio, delle gare, e della loro quotidianità, questo documentario vuole scandagliare l'opportunità che lo sport offre come strumento educativo alla vita. Lo vuole fare attraverso l'esperienza particolare degli atleti di Special Olympics.
This documentary tells the story of three athletes with intellectual disability, that have participated in the World Special Olympics Games at Shanghai in October 2007.
These athletes have participated in the Games with the naïve and simple competitiveness with which all sports competitions should be approached: trying to surpass their own limits, challenging with the other athletes in an experience of sport and emotions that women and men share all over the world.

Olivia Dierauer was born in Cali, Columbia, in 1977. She was a premature baby and placed in an orphanage. Six months later, she was on a plane for Switzerland with her adoptive parents. A wonderful opportunity for her, all the more so, as this little girl has a serious psycho-motory handicap, since she has serious problems with her eyes, as well as with the balance and coordination of her movements. Olivia's childhood is a blessed one. Yet over the years, she feels unhappy, because she is unable to either fit in with our Western society, where she's too far from her real roots. In 2001, she meets Yves Chaloin, an experienced athlete fascinated by travelling. He perhaps offers her the answer to her questions : a trip around the world... "Travels to the Heart of the World" to discover oneself, perhaps also make peace with oneself, find out her roots and -who knows- her biological mother, too... "We travelled for 736 days and covered 38,620 kilometers. Yves and I were living together 24 hours a day, enjoyed sharing the beauty of sunrise and sunset every day. We rode across deserts and throughout many mountainous regions. And above all, we managed to stick to our ethical principle : travelling exclusively by bicycle or cargo-ships, never taking our feet off the ground, this to have a better notion of "the measurements of our planet"... Nobody ever stole us anything, we were neither threatened nor attacked by anyone... We went closer to "the heart of the world", closer to ourselves, not only as human beings but as a couple as well. Today, I am feeling stronger, not different but really stronger. At last, I am ready to build up my life on my own values by attempting to tie up a new connection, full of respect and solidarity, with the world and nature. . Moreover, I am determined to behave and struggle for a better and fairer society, which I have just been dreaming of so far, even though the right way to succeed still remains to be found out..." Olivia Dierauer. 38,620 kilometers... 486 days for 3,030 hours riding our bicycle, 250 days off, i.e. 6 hours and 15 minutes a day, at an average speed of 12,74 kilometers an hour...

Noi non abbiamo paura racconta cos'ha significato per gli emigrati italiani in Germania la vittoria della Nazionale nei Mondiali del 2006. Per farlo parte dall'esperienza di Nello de Martino, emigrato da Vico Equense a Berlino 35 anni fa. Allenatore dei portieri dell'Hertha Berlino, de Martino è stato Team liaison officer della Nazionale durante la spedizione tedesca, contribuendo in prima persona all'impresa degli Azzurri.

attraverso lo sport, grazie ad una palestra, sono stati superati ostacoli e abbattute barriere di ignoranza. LA goinnastica aiuta una ragazza che porta ancora i segni della violenza fisica subita dal padre.

A tre mesi dai giochi olimpici di pechino, in piena crisi di rapporti tra tibet e cina, gli esuli tibetani organizzano a dharamsala nel nord dell'india i loro giochi. Atleti nella maggior parte dei casi improvvisati si cimentano in varie discipline sportive mandando un segnale al mondo sul loro problema. Nello stesso luogo i monaci del monastero del dalai lama pregano e protestano al tempo stesso. Un reportage che ha avuto successo anche internazionale

Documentary filmmaker Jens Hoffman first met the now 30-year-old Norwegian in 2002. He immediately started to film, accompanying her through many stages of her BASE-jumping career, until it comes to a sudden stop, changing all aspects of her life.
